And the Wild West and its uncontaminated nature inspired the collection: from maxi dresses with white lace embroidery to multicolored tunics by crochet processing.
From long skirts with fringed lips to the turquoise look-through tulle, combined with tight waistcoats with thin belts, oversized pulls with inlays, leather jackets and fur coats. In the head the inevitable cowboy-style hat decorated with colored stones.
Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dior cruise show debut showcases Americana and draws a celebrity crowd from nearby LA. The couture house’s 2018 cruise collection presentation saw around 800 guests decamping to a remote reserve on the edge of the upscale suburb of Calabasas, home to Jennifer Lopez, the Kardashian-Jenners and much of Hollywood’s A list.
The remote location for the runway show was chosen by Maria Grazia Chiuri, who was lured from Valentino in July last year to become Dior’s first female creative director of women’s haute couture and accessories.
