The jury awards were presided by the two-time Oscar winner Claude Lelouch and composed by Nancy Brilli, Valeria Solarino and critic Nick Vivarelli. The award for the best film went to the Spanish ‘La tribu’ ‘by Fernando Colomo, a film starring a street dance enthusiast who, thanks to the dance, finds love for her son. The film also won recognition for the best actress to Carmen Machi. The award for best director went to Armando Iannucci for the already appreciated ‘Death of Stalin’ with Steve Buscemi and Jeffrey Tambor, a comedy set in the days immediately following the death of the Soviet dictator. Best actor Italian Nicola Nocella (also nominated for David), protagonist of ‘Easy’ by Andrea Magnani in which he plays the role of a former pilot who is entrusted with the task of bringing back from Italy to Ukraine a coffin with the body of a bricklayer. The Special Jury Prize went to ‘Brad’s Status’ by Mike White with Ben Stiller for his “strong and complete” script.
